American country and alternative rock star Neko Case (born in Alexandria,
Virginia, on September 8, 1970) came to prominence in 1997 with the album The
Virginian, named after her home state of Virginia. Alongside a solo career noted
for her polished songwriting and warm voice, the singer is also a member of The
