Natasha St-Pier (born February 10, 1981 in Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada) is a
leading figure in the generation of "chanteuses à voix québécoises" who have
made a name for themselves in France and on both sides of the Atlantic. Noticed
at a singing contest in 1993, she climbed the notoriety ladder one by one, from
her first album Émergence, recorded at the age of fourteen, to the musical
Notre-Dame de Paris, which revealed her in France in 1999, and her participation
in the Concours de l'Euroivsion, where she finished in fourth place with the
