Najwa Nicole Karam, born on February 26, 1966, in Zahlé, Lebanon, is a Lebanese
singer. She began her musical journey by participating in television contests
such as "Layali Lubnan" and "Laylat Haz," winning the former with a powerful
performance of traditional Libanese songs. Najwa Karam released her debut album
Habayeb in 1989 under Relax-In Records, followed by Shams el-Ghinnieh in 1992.
She signed with Rotana Records in 1994 and achieved significant success with
