(Na Ying)
Born on 27 November 1967 in Shenyang, Liaoning, singer and TV personality Na
Ying cut her teeth as a member of the Liaoning Juvenile Broadcasting Chorus in
1979, and later in the Shenyang Singing and Dancing Troupe in 1983. She kicked
off her recording career in Taiwan and Hong Kong in 1988, releasing her first
album A single woman like me (像我这样的单身女子) three years later and issuing the
follow-up two years later, I hope my dreams come true (但愿好梦都成真), but failing to
make any discernible impact with either LP. It was with the release of her first
major album Dreaming With You in 1994...
