Múm, an Icelandic electronic music band, was formed in 1997 in Faxa Bay,
Reykjavík. The original members were Gunnar Örn Tynes and Örvar Þóreyjarson
Smárason, who were later joined by twin sisters Gyða and Kristín Anna
Valtýsdóttir. Múm's music is characterized by soft vocals, electronic glitch
beats and effects, and a variety of traditional and unconventional instruments.
The band released their debut album Yesterday Was Dramatic – Today Is OK in 1999
through TMT Records. Most of the tracks were part of the album Remixed (2001).
