Motion City Soundtrack
Motion City Soundtrack is an American rock band formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota
in 1997. The group consists of Justin Pierre on guitar and vocals, Joshua Cain
on guitar, Jesse Johnson on Moog synthesizer, Matthew Taylor on bass, and Tony
Thaxton on drums. Motion City Soundtrack emerged from the remnants of two local
bands, Saddest Girl Story and Boxcar, with Joshua Cain recruiting Justin Pierre
to form the new group. The band's early years were marked by frequent lineup
changes and a focus on touring. Their first significant release was the single
