Aubrey Wilson Mullican, known professionally as Moon Mullican, born March 29,
1909, near Corrigan, Texas, was an American country singer, songwriter, and
pianist. He began playing the organ as a child and was introduced to country
blues by a local sharecropper. At sixteen years old, he left home for Houston,
starting a professional career in local clubs in 1926. In the 1930s, he gained
his famous nickname, which his family attributed to his love for the domino
