Miya Folick
Indie rock singer-songwriter Miya Folick was born on June 10, 1989, in Santa
Ana, California. After finishing high school in 2007, she relocated to New York
to study acting at New York University but later transferred to the University
of California, graduating in 2011 with a B.A. from the School of Theatre. It was
during this time that a friend taught her how to play guitar, prompting her to
look for musicians to start a band. Her debut EP, Strange Darling, came out in
2015 and was followed by the non-album singles "Pet Body" and "God Is a Woman"
