Shim Mina, known mononymously as Mina, is a South Korean singer and dancer born
on December 1, 1972. She gained early fame during the 2002 World Cup, which led
her to pursue a career in K-pop. Mina debuted in November 2002 with her album
Rendezvous, which was a success in China and the Philippines, particularly her
hit single "Answer the Phone." After a two-year hiatus, she released her second
album Re:Turn 2 Mina in 2004, which featured the popular single "Turn" and
