Milton Guedes
Milton Carlos Muniz Guedes, professionally known as Milton Guedes, is a
Brazilian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Brazil on June 4,
1963. After learning the recorder in the choral group Mirim del Sesi and
teaching himself the harmonica, he formed the band Pôr do Sol at eighteen years
of age. In 1986, he was discovered by Oswaldo Montenegro, who invited him to Rio
de Janeiro to rehearse the musical play Os Menestréis, where his whistle
contribution to the song “Engarrafamento (Taxímetro)” brought him wider
