Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on November 19, 1970, American blue guitarist Mike Zito made a name for himself on the local scene before signing with Eclecto Groove Records, which released the albums Today (2008) and Pearl River (2009), whose title track won a Blues Music Award. After a third album for the label, Greyhound (2011), he formed the supergroup Royal Southern Brotherhood with Cyril Neville, Devon Allman, Charlie Wooton and Yonrico Scott.
