Michel Dens was born on June 22, 1911, in Roubaix, France, and was an opera
baritone singer. He began his career in 1934 at the Opéra de Lille with a role
in Faust by Gounod. In 1947, Michel Dens joined the troupes of the Opéra-Comique
and the Opéra de Paris. Throughout his extensive career spanning over six
decades, he maintained his vocal prowess, performing roles such as Rigoletto
until the age of 75. His final performance was a recital in Firminy in September
