Michael Zilber
Michael Zilber, born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, is a
Canadian jazz composer and musician. He moved to Boston in his late teens and
later to New York City in his early twenties. Zilber's career began with
performances alongside notable artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Stitt,
Dave Liebman, and Miroslav Vitous. While in New York City, he recorded two
critically acclaimed albums for OWL-EMI Records: The Heretic and Stranger in
Brooklyn, the latter of which was named one of the top 30 CDs of all time by
