Michael Wycoff, born Michael on February 8, 1953 in the United States, emerged
as a soul singer from Wilmington, Los Angeles, where he played keyboards and
sang in school talent shows. After backing Stevie Wonder on Songs in the Key of
Life, he signed a solo contract with RCA and released his debut album Come to My
World in 1980 followed by Love Conquers All in 1982; both albums produced modest
hits on the U.S. R&B charts, notably the single "Looking Up to You", which was
