Michael Hill (born 1952 in The Bronx, New York) is an American blues guitarist
who formed Michael Hill's Blues Mob in the early 1990s. Raised in the Bronx and
involved with the Black Rock Coalition, Hill assembled a trio—his brother Kevin
on bass and sisters Wynette and Kathy on vocals. The group debuted with
Bloodlines (1994), earning the Living Blues Critic’s Award for Debut Blues Album
of the Year. Subsequent releases on Alligator Records followed: Have Mercy!
(1996) and New York State of Blues (1998). Later albums on Singular and Ruf
Records included Suite: Larger Than Life...
