Meridian Brothers

Meridian Brothers, a Colombian band founded in 1998 by Eblis Álvarez, began as a solo project with Álvarez composing and distributing cassettes. The group evolved into a quintet with María Valencia on wind instruments, percussion, and keyboards; Alejandro Forero on keyboards; César Quevedo on bass; and Damián Ponce on drums, who was later replaced by Mauricio Ramirez in 2016. Meridian Brothers gained international recognition with the release of their album Desesperanza in 2012 on Soundway Records, which included the track "Guaracha U.F.O (No Estamos Solos…)".
