MAXINE
Maxine is a Dutch singer born in the Netherlands in 1970. Gonny Buurmeester
represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996 in a duo with
Franklin Brown. Their song “De eerste keer” (1996) reached number 6 on the Dutch
charts and finished in seventh place at the contest. Maxine subsequently
released the solo singles “Nooit meer alleen” (1997) and “Waanzin” (1997). Their
discography includes the single “African Dream” (1999) and the 2003
collaborations with Stuart, “Free (Let It Be)” and “Fuel to Fire”, the latter of
