Mavka
Mavka, a Ukrainian band formed in 2013 by theater actress Iryna Lazer and
composer Oleksiy Mikriukov under the initial name Crossworlds. The duo released
their first EP Ivana Kupala Night in 2014. In 2015, they released their
full-length album Day & Night, marking a significant milestone as Iryna Lazer
began performing live using loop-station and vocal pedals to create polyphonic
compositions. The band changed its name to Mavka after another member joined.
