Maurette Brown Clark, born Maurette Brown on May 5, 1966, in New York, Long
Island, is an American singer. She began singing at age four and started formal
lessons two years later. Her solo music career commenced in 1998 with the
release of How I Feel on Verity Records, which peaked at Number 8 on the
