Matti ja Teppo, a Finnish pop singing duo consisting of brothers Teppo Ilmari Ruohonen and Matti Tapio Ruohonen, were born in Turku, Finland on March 1, 1948 and August 8, 1949, respectively. The duo began performing together as children and studied violin and piano in their hometown. Matti also learned guitar and songwriting, while Teppo focused on lyricism.
