An eclectic musician born in Paris in 1971, pianist and singer Matthieu Boré
started out in rock and trip-hop before finding his own style in jazz pop. As a
solo artist, he revived Fat Domino's repertoire on True Spirit (2001) and 1950s
American doo-wop on Doo-Wop (2003), before revisiting swing-era classics on
Sometimes on My Own (2007). Two years later, FriZZante!! was released, featuring
a trio and the Italian string quartet GnuQuartet. The Roots album, which follows
