Initially a member of Canadian rock outfit The Guthries, Matt Mays is a
singer-songwriter who has forged a successful career in his own right and is now
a household name in Canadian alternative rock.
After leaving The Guthries and releasing his debut solo record in 2002, Mays
formed new band Matt Mays & El Torpedo in 2005. After achieving commercial
success with regular airplay on Canadian radio, Mays dissolved El Torpedo in
