Mateus Asato
Mateus Asato, born December 29, 1994 in Campo Grande, Brazil, is a Brazilian
guitarist who began playing at ten. He moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to study at
the Musicians Institute, where industry professionals discovered him through
Instagram, leading to performances with Tori Kelly, Jessie J, and Bruno Mars. In
2019, Guitar Magazine named him one of the 50 most exciting young guitarists in
the world. The boutique brand Suhr Guitars revealed his signature guitar model
at the 2020 NAMM Show, and he conducted clinics in South Korea and Singapore.
