Martin Sexton, born on March 2, 1966, in Syracuse, New York, is an American
singer-songwriter and music producer. Growing up as the tenth of twelve children
in a working-class Irish-American family, he acquired his first guitar at age
14. In 1988, he moved to Boston and began performing on street corners and at
open mic nights. He released his debut collection of self-produced demo
recordings, In the Journey, in 1992, which sold 15,000 copies. He received the
