Marie‑Chantal Toupin, born 14 July 1971 in Montreal, Quebec, began singing in
local bars at six and later auditioned for Les Chanterelles. Resumed singing in
1991, performed at the Palais des Congrès, and secured a contract that led to
her debut album Après Tout in 1998, before leaving the label. In 2000 released
the album Marie‑Chantal Toupin, establishing style with hits such as "Comment
