Maribou State, the electronic duo of Chris Davids and Liam Ivory, formed in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, after meeting in school. Their first break came at 16, remixing a track for Hadouken! In 2011, they debuted with the Habitat EP on FatCat Records, followed by releases on Norman Cook’s Southern Fried Records. Their Truths EP (2013) featured vocalists Jimi Nxir and Holly Walker. In 2015, they released their debut album Portraits on Counter Records, with "Midas" earning a Silver certification in 2022.
