Mariano Alberto Martínez, known as Mariano Mores, was born on February 18, 1918,
in San Telmo, Buenos Aires, Argentina, was a tango composer and pianist. He
began playing classical music on the piano at a young age and made his public
debut at 14. After studying at the D'Andrea Conservatory, he formed a trio with
Margot and Myrna Mores, later marrying Myrna and adopting her surname as his
stage name. His breakthrough came in 1938 when he composed music for the film
