Mariana Baraj
Mariana Paula Baraj, born May 31, 1970, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is an
Argentine singer, composer, and percussionist. Her career began under jazz
influences at home and through studies with Horacio López. She entered the
professional scene in 1990 as part of the Bernardo Baraj Quinteto, recording 3
albums before launching her solo debut Lumbre in 2001. Subsequent releases,
including Deslumbre (2005), Churita (2010), Florcita de Amancay (2010), and
Sangre buena (2013), featured collaborations with Fito Páez, Liliana Herrero,
