Maria Taylor
Maria Diane Taylor, born May 21, 1976, in Birmingham, Alabama, is an American
singer-songwriter. Taylor started a musical career at fifteen with the band
Little Red Rocket, which released the albums Who Did You Pay (1997) and It's in
the Sound (2000) before disbanding. In Athens, Georgia, Taylor and Orenda Fink
formed the duo Azure Ray, signing to Warm Records and releasing their
self-titled debut album Azure Ray (2001). The duo's song "Sleep" was featured in
the film The Devil Wears Prada (2006). Azure Ray released several albums,
