Margot Hellwig, born on July 5, 1941, in Reit im Winkl, Germany, is a German
singer. After her father's death during World War II, she was raised by her
mother Maria Neumaier and later stepfather Addi Hellwig. She began her musical
training with Elisabeth Hallstein and Franz Reuter-Wolf. In 1963, Margot Hellwig
released her first recording with her mother, "Feierabendjodler", marking the
start of their duo career. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Maria and Margot
