Marciano Martinez
Marciano Martínez Acosta, born on 30 October 1957 in La Junta, San Juan del
Cesar, La Guajira, Colombia, was a Colombian vallenato composer, accordionist,
and singer. He began composing at age 22, inspired by Beatriz Helena, and his
debut song "La juntera" was recorded by Diomedes Díaz in 1977, launching his
career. Notable compositions include "Espejismo" (1998), recorded by Diomedes
Díaz and Iván Zuleta; "Pobre infancia" (1985), recorded by Los Hermanos Zuleta;
