Marcelo Mercadante
Marcelo Mercadante, born on August 19, 1969, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a
bandoneon player and composer. He studied under Rodolfo Mederos and later
refined his skills with maestros Daniel Binelli, Julio Pane, Néstor Marconi, and
Juan José Mosalini. He formed the Octeto La Sombra in 1991 with Pablo Mainetti,
Andrés Serafini, Hernán Posetti, and Germán Martínez, winning the 2nd Bienal de
Arte Joven de Buenos Aires. In 1992, Mercadante moved to Barcelona, Spain and
later founded the Trío Argentino de Tango with Andrés Serafini and Gustavo
Battaglia, releasing the albums, T.A.T. ...
