Marc Soustrot
Marc Soustrot, born on April 15, 1949 in Lyon, France, is a classical conductor.
He studied at the conservatories in Lyon and Paris and won first prize in an
international conducting competition in London in 1974. This led to his
appointment as assistant conductor to André Previn at the London Symphony
Orchestra. Soustrot served as music director of the National Orchestra of the
Pays de la Loire from 1976 to 1994 and later as General Music Director of the
