Manos Achalinotopoulos, born Mános Achalinotopoulos on January 11, 1968, in
Athens, Greece, is a Greek clarinetist. He began learning flute and clarinet at
the age of nine. Achalinotopoulos' career took off when he participated in the
Pan-Mediterranean Festival of Folk Music in Valencia with a Greek group in 1986
and was awarded the best soloist at the Ithaca Festival in 1987. He performed at
