Manoel Gomes
Manoel Jardim Gomes, known professionally as Manoel Gomes, and born on December
2, 1969, in Balsas, Maranhão, Brazil, is a singer and composer. He began writing
songs when he was 15 years old and his breakthrough came in late 2019 with
"Caneta Azul", a song inspired by his personal experience of frequently losing
pens at school. The track went viral and was covered by several artists
including Wesley Safadão and Simone Mendes. Following its success, Manoel Gomes
embarked on tours across Brazil and released his debut album Amor Tropical in
