Makoto Kawamoto, born on January 19, 1974, in Fukui, Japan, is a Japanese
singer-songwriter. Growing up, she was exposed to music through her mother's
piano playing and later studied ballet, flute, and joined a chorus group. A
pivotal moment came during her high school days when she attended a rock
festival, inspiring her to form a band after graduating from Jin-ai Women's
College. Kawamoto initially worked as a piano teacher but moved to Tokyo at age
