Alessandro Mahmoud aka Mahmood, born in Milan on September 12, 1992, is an
Italian singer-songwriter of Egyptian origin. In 2012, he auditioned for the
sixth season of the Italian version of the TV talent show X Factor. He was
eliminated in the third episode and decided to take piano and music theory
lessons. In 2013, he released his first song, "Fallin' Rain". Selected in the
"hopefuls" section at the 2016 Sanremo festival, where he presented "Dimentica",
he then became a composer for artists Elodie, Michele Bravi and Marco Mengoni.
