Khadijeh Eftekhar Dadehbala, known professionally as Mahasti, was born on
November 16, 1946, in Tehran, Iran. She began her career in music in 1963 with
the song "Ân ke Delam Râ Borde Khodâyâ" on the radio program "Gol hâ ye
Rangârang." Mahasti became a prominent figure in Iranian music and released
several albums, including Parandeye Mohajer (1981), Eyde Shoma Mobarak (1982),
and Moj (1983). She collaborated with various artists such as her sister
Hayedeh. In 1979, Mahasti emigrated to the United Kingdom and later to the
