Inglewood, California, rapper Mack 10 (born Dedrick D'Mon Rolison on August 9,1971) rose to fame in the west coast rap scene of the 1990s. His recording debut was the track “Take a Hit” from the soundtrack to the Ice Cube movie Friday. His self-titled 1995 debut album reached number 2 on the R&B chart, and was a top forty album on the Billboard 200. A pair of singles, “Foe Life” and “On Them Thangs”, charted outside the top 40.
