Luis Peixoto

Luís Peixoto was born on April 11, 1980, in Coimbra, Portugal, and is a Portuguese folk musician who grew up in the Algarve. He studied civil engineering at the University of Coimbra before choosing to devote himself entirely to music, learning instruments such as the mandolin, cavaquinho, and acoustic guitar. He first gained prominence as a member of the folk group Dazkarieh, performing with them for six years, and later toured with the Stockholm Lisboa Project.
