Born on October 25, 1965, in Santiago, Chile, Luis Jara starred in the Chilean
soap operas De cara al mañana and Los títeres as a teenager before launching an
enduring music career during the mid-1980s. After taking second place in 1986's
Viña del Mar International Song Festival with his song "Me Hace Falta," he
signed with EMI Music and released his debut album, Ámame, that same year. Otra
Vez De Cero followed in 1988. Jara released five albums during the remainder of
