Ludwig Sebus, born September 5, 1925, in Cologne, Germany, is a German singer,
composer, and lyricist known for his contributions to Schlager, folk music, and
the Cologne Carnival. Growing up as the son of a gilder in Cologne, Sebus began
a musical journey by joining the Altermarktspielkreis in 1950. Sebus then
prepared for stage performances with the literary committee of the Festkomitee
Kölner Karneval. A breakthrough came during the 1954/1955 session with the hit
