French baritone born in Marseille on September 10, 1968, Ludovic Tézier studied
opera singing with Claudine Duprat, then with Michel Sénéchal at the École d'art
lyrique de Paris. In 1998, he tied for second prize with Joycd DiDonato in the
Operalia Competition created by Plácido Domingo. This recognition enabled him to
pursue an international career, performing the greatest operatic roles
appropriate to his vocal range, notably in Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), Don
Carlos and other lyric dramas by Verdi, Eugene Onegin and The Queen of Spades by
Tchaikovsky, Tannhaüser by Wagner...
