Los Vikings 5, a Chilean cumbia band, was formed in Coquimbo in 1969 by brothers
Juan and Onofre Núñez. The group gained prominence in the 1970s with hits like
"Linda Provinciana" and "El Minero". In 1977, their rendition of "Un Año Más" by
Hernán Gallardo Pavez became an emblematic tropical music track. The band
achieved significant success with the 1981 release of "Boquita de Caramelo"
(known colloquially as "Tus Besos Son"), which sold over one hundred thousand
