Los Retros
Los Retros was the Oxnard, California project founded in 2017 by
Mexican-American multi-instrumentalist Mauri Tapia, who began recording at home
in his early teens, first formed a band around age 16, and then reshaped it into
a mostly solo outlet centered on his own vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass, and
drums. Signed to Stones Throw, he broke through in 2019 with “Someone to Spend
Time With” and the EP Retrospect, then followed with the more spiritual
