Led since 1986 by guitarist and singer Robert Hampson, London band Loop has
revived space rock in the age of independent noise rock and shoegaze. Originally
made up of James Endeacott (guitar), Glen Ray (bass) and Becky Stewart (drums),
the trio underwent a number of changes with their respective replacements by
Scott Dowson (1991), Neil Mackay (1988) and John Wills (1987). This first period
saw the release of the compilation The World in Your Eyes (1987) and the cult
albums Heaven's End (1987), Fade Out (1988) and A Gilded Eternity (1990). Also
