Llibert Fortuny
Llibert Fortuny, born 1977 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, is a
saxophonist and composer who began playing guitar and piano before switching to
saxophone at 11. After graduating with distinction from the Conservatori de
Música de Manresa, he studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Shannon
LeClaire and Bill Pierce. In 2002, he founded the Llibert Fortuny Quartett in
Barcelona, touring Spain and releasing the debut album Un Circ Sense Lleons
