Lily, born Kamata Saeko on February 17, 1952, in Tenjin, Fukuoka City, Japan, is
a singer-songwriter and actress. She grew up in Tojinmachi and moved to Tokyo
with her family at the age of ten. Lily began her career as an actress, joining
Toei's children's theater company and appearing in the 1966 film Yoko, the
Delinquent Girl. Her musical debut came on February 5, 1972, with the album たまねぎ
(Onion), released by Toshiba Music Industry. This debut marked the start of a
