Silvia Lílian Barrie Knapp, born 30 March 1948 in Brazil, was a Brazilian
vocalist who began singing with her childhood friend Leno in Copacabana, Rio de
Janeiro, before forming the duo Leno & Lílian in 1965. The pair achieved hits
such as “Pobre Menina” and “Devolva‑me” during the Jovem Guarda era, with the
duo’s initial phase ending in the late 1960s. After periods performing together
and apart, Lílian Barrie Knapp pursued a solo career, known for singles such as
“Sou Rebelde” (1978), and released solo albums including Lílian Knapp in 2001.
