Elisabeth Dorathea "Liesbeth" List, born on December 12, 1941, in Bandoeng,
Dutch East Indies (present-day Indonesia), was a Dutch singer. She began her
music career at age 18 when she moved to Amsterdam and appeared in the AVRO
talent show "Nieuwe Oogst." This led to collaborations with Ramses Shaffy on the
theatre show Shaffy Chantant (1964) and their award-winning performance at the
Europe Cup for Best Singing Performance in Knokke, Belgium. List released her
debut album Liesbeth List (1966), followed by collaborations with Mikis
